Serious Financial Constraints

Next, more often than not the chapters are extremely financially constrained. Central alumni associations are often unable to provide enough in the way of resources or financial support to operate a network of professional organizations. Not to say that some colleges or universities have not realized the immense value of maintaining the relationship with alumni and thus provide more adequate support. However, chapters are generally expected to operate each event as a net-neutral endeavor, leaving very little margin for improving overall circumstances from a boot-strapped operation.
